The past few months were busy… We hit Fifty, were selected as one of “2012’s Best Fleets to Drive For”, received our C-TPAT Certification and returned to solid profit for the UTi fiscal year. All this was accomplished this year. And we did this safely. Congratulations to all on a job well done.
The entire Team – Contractor, Shipper Client and Employee shined bright this past year. Additional equipment for the new year is on order and continued growth is in sight.
CAT has us solidly in their sights as a quality carrier to work with, as does CNH and Link-Belt. Numerous synergies are being worked through also with our principal UTi on how to blend better with their freight. All are very good signs.
One quick final note… Safety remains at the top of our culture. The motoring public deserves to feel safe on our highways, as do we. Please continue to practice the rules of the road as you have. The trends for Sammons are positive. This does a number of things. First it keeps us ahead of the competition as shippers continue to monitor the CSA. Second, it lowers our cost of insurance and all of the baggage that comes with it. And third, it continues to attract more professionals, like the ones we have, to want to lease to Sammons.
