on the state’s website: Due to the dangerous wind speeds associated with
Hurricane Sandy, beginning at 12:30 PM, today (10/29/12), the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
(PTC) is restricting oversized/overweight vehicles on the following Pa.
roadways in:

Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, Wyoming counties)
District 5-0 (Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Schuylkill counties)

York – Open. There is still a non-emergency oversize vehicle travel ban on and
south of Interstate 84, including Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Oversize
travel is allowed in the rest the state at this time, though there have been
some instances of downed trees or flooding that may temporarily block
roads. It is advised to check out 511NY to make sure there are no incidents
in the area you intend to travel.
